This is the best pediatric dentist practice for kids! We see Dr. Jensen and he is so patient with my kiddos. The staff is welcoming and nice, most importantly they help my kids relax and have a good experience at the dentist. The office is so kid friendly and that makes our visits be fun. I feel like they provided a lot useful information in every one of our visits. Dr. Jensen never rushes us, but always explains what is going on with our kids and what his recommendations are. Highly recommend this practice, specially if you have little ones who are nervous about seeing the dentist.Monica P.

My children and I absolutely love The Dentist for Kids office. Both Dr. Gurr and Dr. Jensen are absolutely thorough and make kids feel comfortable and at ease. The fun and colorful scrubs the doctors wear are always a hit! My kids actually look forward to every visit and always have fun playing in their arcade and cool games. Both of my children (11 & 4) are patients at The Dentists for Kids. This has been the absolute best dental experience we’ve ever had (I kind of wish they saw adults, too!!). The dentists and orthodontist are both kind and gentle. We are now in the process of getting braces for my oldest. I was referred by a friend and I am so happy I listened!!Anjolee G.

My pediatrician recommended my son get his tongue clipped and gave me a list of ENTs and dentist to call for quotes. After calling multiple offices, The Dentist for Kids was my last call. I was so incredibly pleased with this office from the moment I called until I walked out of the office. On the phone, the procedure was clearly explained to me and I felt completely at peace knowing what to expect. Compared to all the other offices I called they gave me the most thorough explanation of what to expect during procedure and after. During the time I was here they were so great, not to mention the office is incredible! So kid friendly from video games to toys, kitchen sets and train tables. The staff is friendly and provide an inviting environment. I brought my four-year-old in for a dental cleaning. He was made to feel comfortable and safe. Everything was explained to him, so that he knew exactly what was going to be done to him. He came in fearful and nervous, by the time he was to be worked on he was happy and confident that everything was going to be okay. My 5 yr old has been a patient since he was about 6 months. He suffers from anxiety and today he had to go in to have a cavity filled… I was bracing for the worse. However, Austin and Dr. Jensen did BEYOND AMAZING and my son LOVED his experience at the dentist and the cool solar system they had. My kids and I have been coming here for several years now and the experience has always been fantastic! Both my kids actually ask when their next visit is! Today, Dr. Gurr and Austin extracted 8, yes 8, teeth from my son and I couldn’t have asked for a better team! Both were extremely professional and made my son feel at ease. What a wonderful experience! At the Dentists for Kids – Dr. Jensen, the staff was courteous and personable on the phone and in person. They offered coffee, water, and a massage chair to parents, and banana/apple/orange and water plus tv, video games, star wars stories, toys, books, balloon animals, etc. to the kids, plus they had super cool dental related t-shirts with R2D2, T-Rexes, etc. for sale. Staff said that as my child had a regular dentist, that they would only be looking at, and possible performing, a teeth extraction (why we were there). The dentist agreed with the teeth extraction and explained to me why it was being done and showed me what was happening in son’s mouth. The dentist communicated well with both my child and me and at our respective levels of understanding. The dentist said that since I came from out of town that he would extract the teeth that afternoon if I wanted (which I did). The office took my insurance. We reviewed the financials quickly – nothing unexpected and absolutely no pressure – I signed and we got my child started on the gas when a room became available. The dentist worked well with my son and did a good job communicating to him and me. Oh, and did I mention that my son and his brother had a blast (well until the final tooth was pulled, but that was to be expected!). I 100% recommend the Dentists for Kids!Jessamyn P

We had a great experience!!! We are new to the area from a small town in South Carolina. I was worried that I wouldn’t find an office here in San Antonio with a small-town family feel but, I was wrong. The office staff and Dr. Jensen were amazing!! The waiting room has something to do for kids of all ages, the kids were offered fruit, we were offered coffee & water and my babies left with cute balloon animals and clean teeth. My girls are 2 & 3 years old; this was going to be their first trip to the dentist. They were both scared and nervous. The office however is so inviting to children that they forgot their worries as soon as we walked in. They loved the staff! Between all of the things to see and the balloon animals, they were so happy and agreeable before the dentist even walked up to greet us. Dr. Jensen was so patient and soft spoken! We have taken our son Trenton here for years and it’s always been a great experience for all of us. Yesterday we had to have our son’s 2 baby teeth extracted (as his 2 little adult teeth were already beginning to come down). I had to take my daughter here today for an urgent matter. I was able to get a quick visit in same day, no issues. The staff is friendly and knows how to work with kids, especially a one year old. The doctor that we saw today was amazing. Very gentle and patient with my daughter. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a pedi dentist! Both kids have been here for their whole lives. We just started our 13th year. Feel like family! Always smiling. Love the personal touches and attention to detail. Went today and my son required additional care. When I explained that I wanted to get it done before school started I was shocked that they were able to get me in in 48 hours. That is rare. We have taken our daughter here since 2007 and have very impressed. Last year with the change in ownership, there was a bit of a hiccup. But the entire staff has overcome the hurdles and we are truly pleased.
